I'm really hoping I'm the first person to dip an entire Civic X!

I could not be happier with how this turned out! I've been wanting to plastidip an entire car for a good 2 years now. I'm so glad my Civic X was my first!

I used 3.25 gal of black base. I didn't spray my roof either, so if you're doing the entire car plan on 4 gal.
50/50 mix of glossifier and matte clear with 100g of Cobra Chameleon pearl pigment.
Finished off with 2 wet coats of DippearlTopCoat.

I did the roof with gloss carbon fiber vinyl. In hind sight, I wish I would have just dipped the roof, but it's a nice switch up.

I made some mistakes, but this was my first time and I'm darn proud of the end result!

Ya, that's the entire point of plasti dip! There was a few parts that I left un-masked so I could see how well it peels. Stuff peeled really well after only 2 hours of setting up.

The peel-ability of dip is completely dependent on how many layers you put on. If you put it on too thin, it won't peel. This should peel off in one piece no problems.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost? I have been thinking of doing mine purple.

A full dip job for a first timer purchasing equipment can range between $350-1000. It really depends on what you're doing. I paid for an upgraded "professional" grade sprayer because I plan on using it semi-often. That was another $80 I believe. Dipyourcar.com has everything you need and they conveniently put "pro car kits" together that you can customize. It's pretty easy to figure out how much it will cost you to order everything. I spent about $800 for all the product, equipment, masking, and solvents. My pearl pigment alone was $120. There is much cheaper pigments and much much more expensive ones haha.
