Hello folks,

I just recently bought a Brand New 2019 Honda Civic EXI with a 2.0L NA CVT engine. My concern was about the Fuel Range on a Full tank.

At the moment when filling up the Civic on 95 Ron fuel (91 AKI) I usually see around 530-560 km on a full tank.
I average around 29-30 mpg. I drive in a very hot Region, Middle East.

So here's my Question:
On my Previous car which was 2012 Cruze with 1.8L NA (Automatic) I used to see around 600 km, why is the Civic showing lesser compared to Cruze??

Will it improve after 1000 miles (1,609 km)? Currently I have driven around 1,500 km

The 2012 Cruze has a fuel tank capacity of 15.6 gallons, while the 2019 Civic has a fuel tank capacity of 12.4 gallons.

Some people brag on the internet that they get over 35 mpg in combined (50-50 city/hwy) driving.
Don't believe them.

Most get between 25-35 mpg combined depending on how far you drive and how congested the drive is.
You are getting normal mileage. It won't improve significantly.

I think just by being in a very hot place you would be using air conditioning a lot. Maybe this is a additional drag on your mpg.
In the Si, I get roughly 650km on a full tank all in town driving, no air conditioning

When I got my civic in 2018 it was pretty much hot in Florida all year round this past winter it was a cooler down here now hot I didn’t notice that much difference with the air on or off but most of my driving is highway
