Had a look, neither side seemed to be affected by the problem you discovered. The passenger side just doesn’t seem to lock in on the far tab and even though the drivers side is locked in it’s still got a big gap. Also discovered the dealer snapped one of the eyebrow tips off the centre grill during install. It’s pretty minor but still kinda sucks considering how expensive the grill was.

At this point I’ll let the dealer sort it out. I’m not going to mess around with it considering it’s brand new and has a warranty. They’ve been quite good with me so far, I’m hoping that will continue when I bring it in.

Got it back today finally. They replaced the whole bumper and grille. So, I'll see what happens.

Had my front bumper replaced due to this problem and now it looks like something has it dented it in the middle. It was looking good for about a month and now it looks like it is actually bending back in the lower center and pulling more away from the clips on the bottom. It really looks like a bowling ball or something of that size has bumped with enough force to cause it to look like that. It's frustrating that a car not even 2 years old has these issues. I guess I will have to take it back to the dealer to fix again.

Sorry about the poor lighting and bad angle 1st is after and 2nd and 3rd are before. I got mine back today as well. Looks good so far, only a slight difference from one end of hood to the other where it meets the bumper.

My first civic did have the issue with the bumper not lining up like yours at the wheel, now that I remember. They said a clip in there wasn't holding well. Looks good now, lets hope we don't have any more issues.

Sure enough, the Accord is doing the same trick in front of our eyes. What a disgrace, Honda.

I read in your earlier post that the dealer ordered you a pre painted bumper. Can you confirm that it was a pre painted bumper that was installed on your car? I'm having paint mismatch issues on my pearl white also the grille coming apart 45 minutes after picking up the car after the last repair attempt and will also request a pre painted bumper on my next repair attempt.

My dealers version of a pre painted bumper was to get another car in like mine, and remove the bumper off of it instead of ordering me a new one cause Honda wouldn't authorize it. Luckily,no mismatch issue though.

Wow. Very nice that they did this for you! But I do feel sorry for whoever buys that car with no knowledge that the bumper was replaced before they even purchased.

My dealer also thought they should clean a very light layer of dust off my month old cars infotainment display. Not sure what they used to clean it but I now have a scratched infotainment display too.

They initially called it a Prepainted bumper... When the bumper arrived unpainted, they called and told me it was going to be 3 days and gave me an Accord to drive. To answer your question, their body shop they use painted and installed the bumper. The paint looks to match very well and actually has less "orange peel" than the factory paint.

Now two of the center tabs are loose, it is hardly noticeable compared to the way it was. Can't decide whether it is worth going back to the dealer or not. :hmm::dunno:
