Ok am I the only one that likes the factory fabric? Feels fine to me and I actually dig the look. I'll coat it with some type of hydrophobic textile treatment soon and it should remain clean.
Those look really nice, however I personally like the OEM cloth too.

Freakin impressive job mate! Looks pro.
Thanks, I just got the matching armrests off ebay as well. I cannot wait to get rid of the fabric there as well. FYI, I did not hate the fabric, but its almost impossible to get your dead skin cells out of the weave once they get in there. I tried using an extractor and still had leftover residue stuck in the fabric on the armrest, don't think any amount of fabric guard can prevent this. I am pretty OCD about keeping my interior clean and I was surprised how bad it was at 27k miles.

Thanks, to the original poster for posting this. This is a synthetic leather piece but it looks like it should last. Ended up doing it myself, lots of staples to remove, but it was worth it. For $25 and a the cost of a JT21 staple gun from menards and 1/4" staples it was worth it. Just take you time to line up the stitching from the bottom center and work your way to the other side. It looks fantastic! Car is a bit dirty atm, MN winter is upon us.

I want to do this but with alcantera. The type r armrest switch is too much at $300. I swear I’ve seen here the trims connecting the armrest to the dash screen in the center console also wrapped with alcantera but I can’t find the link anymore. Anyways one of these days I plan to check an upholstery shop and see what they say.

Here is the armrests completed for the passenger side. Looks like they where meant to be there. For these i did leave the existing fabric as there is padding attached to the material.

I just upgraded mine to the honda brand civic touring "leather". The stitching is more of a gray/white but I still think it goes well.

The fabric to me is pretty rough on the elbows for longer trips.

Now I have to do the door armrests!

Did they swap out the entire center console for your new leather, or was it just the fabric that was replaced?

Mine are oem. The issue I have with yours is that the leather might too thick to fit like mine do. Does it shift in the middle at all? Air pockets? Why didn’t you get the all black to match the rest of the vehicle?

As everyone knows we all hate that Honda put that fabric in the car that is just a monster to clean and always gets dirty. So I decided why not I went on eBay and I bought $20 leather wraps. Much to my surprise they were actually high-quality felt like genuine leather and very thick material. The stitching is flawless and they fit Perfect.

Then I found an upholstery shop that went ahead and installed them for $30. I really couldn't be any happier to have gotten rid of that terrible fabric it is such a better experience having leather. And the guy who did the wrapping did a great job tucking everything perfect. He did rip off the old shitty fabric.

So $50 I'm out and Im satisfied!
Wow this looks good. Should have came from the factor like this. Thumbs up to you Sir!
