As everyone knows we all hate that Honda put that fabric in the car that is just a monster to clean and always gets dirty. So I decided why not I went on eBay and I bought $20 leather wraps. Much to my surprise they were actually high-quality felt like genuine leather and very thick material. The stitching is flawless and they fit Perfect.

Then I found an upholstery shop that went ahead and installed them for $30. I really couldn't be any happier to have gotten rid of that terrible fabric it is such a better experience having leather. And the guy who did the wrapping did a great job tucking everything perfect. He did rip off the old shitty fabric.

Yeah big tip... lol i tried it myself and it came out horrible so i bite the bullet and paid someone. Having the correct shears to cut leather and right sized staple gun would be a must if you do it yourself and some double sided tape and off you go. But goodluck, lining up the red stitching was key for my aesthetics of it.

But make purchase now via ebay. My order took like 3-4 weeks via China boat mail. You will be shocked as to the quality is amazing, even the upholstery guy said the material is thick. No matter if you do it or pay someone. REMOVE the old crappy fabric first. It makes fitment much more precise. Inless you got the patients, just pay the $30-$50 heres my exact link.

They neglected the door side. Can’t put one in without the other. Needs to match. Gonna wait for the 2019 civic armrests and do a retrofit with those

I went with an OEM direct swap, back when the parts were pretty cheap. To the OP's point, it's the same mold stapled with leather instead of the fabric. Very much worth doing if you can find an upholstery shop to wrap.

Side note: be careful on which leather material you choose. I've found that some ebay options do not hold up well in direct sunlight/heat.

I will definitely be giving a 6-12month update. I run Limo tint on all windows and a front shade when i park, so mine may outlast some. Or fall apart...lol

Thanks, to the original poster for posting this. This is a synthetic leather piece but it looks like it should last. Ended up doing it myself, lots of staples to remove, but it was worth it. For $25 and a the cost of a JT21 staple gun from menards and 1/4" staples it was worth it. Just take you time to line up the stitching from the bottom center and work your way to the other side. It looks fantastic! Car is a bit dirty atm, MN winter is upon us.

Looks awesome, thats a must do mod.
Ok am I the only one that likes the factory fabric? Feels fine to me and I actually dig the look. I'll coat it with some type of hydrophobic textile treatment soon and it should remain clean.
