Is anyone else with mods having or had trouble with the flex fuel? I have a catless downpipe and I would be a little nervous about playing with the air settings to prevent the fuel pump to be maxed out

i wouldn't really be nervous lowering the air charge. It's pretty easy to do. You can't really do any dmg by lowering the air charge.

It will, but if you have modifications, especially a downpipe, the extra air flow will max out the stock fuel pump. If is pretty easy to reduce the air charge at 40% ethanol, so if you post your calibration here will we do it for you.
Will hondata release a new flex fuel calibration for a cat less downpipe w/ mods. That way this air charge situation wouldn’t occur?

The calibration would need to be different for each vehicle. It is a balancing act between restricting power and keeping the fuel pump from running out.

I think people are trying to run too much ethanol. Maximum power is around 40% ethanol, but 30% has almost the same power and more headroom for the fuel pump. Even 30% is a lot of demand for the fuel pump considering the stock pump on a stock vehicle can run out at peak torque if the lambda goes a little rich.

So running between e30-35 would be the safest bet and not get any codes?

Well it depends on the exact setup of the vehicle and environmental conditions, but E30 is less volume for the fuel pump than E40.

I dropped back down to E10 for my track day in a couple of days, but when I do get back to Ethanol, I'm going to shoot for about E25 as a target.

price is probably going to be similiar also so it depends. I like the PRL one cause i would've preferred it without the gauge, but i like the less bulkiness of the sirimoto cause the gauge/convert is away from the sensor.

either way, i would have to relocate my oil catch can so i guess it's the same.
