Fitting a sedan/coupe touch oem radio head unit in a sport hatch with the small non-touch radio

Has anyone swapped an oem head unit from another model into their sport hatch? I am looking at getting something with a large touch screen and wanted to go oem instead of getting an aftermarket one. I know it will physically fit but wondering if anyone has done it so i know it functions using the existing wiring harness.
