Finally traded in the Si for a CTR

Hey all, it's been a while.

Just got back from the dealership. Very glad I bought an Si(2018 White Orchid Pearl Coupe) and loved every minute of it but I always wanted an R and today I took the plunge on a 2019 Championship White.

Time for a new adventure . Pictures of the volume knob are available upon request.

I still can't stand the oversized rear wing...and I love the extra drivers vision with coupe models...so maybe I'll just stick with my Si.

Are you planning to track/autocross it? Use it more as a weekend canyon carver? Or just a fun daily?

How comfortable is the comfort setting? My rear starts hurting after 2+ hours in the 2017 Civic Si.

Grats! How much of a hit did you take trading in the Si? Is the CTR still selling for ridiculous prices or can you get it close to MSRP now?

I did the same a few months ago with my '17 Si. The alternative (for me) was to do a bunch of mods to my Si after the warranty expired to bump up the performance. That's what i did with my WRX over the past 15 years instead of buying an '04 Sti. If i had the garage space, and could justify doing so, it would have been nice to also keep the Si. I'm hoping to resist the mod bug with my Type R. Not sure if i'll even swap on my low profile shift knob!

Congrats! A friend from work with an "in" just did me a huge favor and hooked me up with a CTR at MSRP in any color that I want. I'll be putting in an order for my favorite color, a '19 CBP, for April delivery. I'll really miss my '17 WOP SI Coupe though - it really is stunning.
