As the CTR's my first manual vehicle, it's the only thing I can use as a point of reference for how the transmission is supposed to feel (other than a learner 2014 Camaro). But if you're saying the adjustable shifter makes THAT much of a difference than I'm curious. I have no issues with mine minus 2nd gear weirdness and notchy shifts in other gears sporadically.^^^ 100% what he said.
I prefer the IS350's acceleration from a standstill simply because I'm used to NA (or instant torque from a EV). After 3000 rpm, I prefer the Type R because it pulls harder to red line.
The Acuity shifter is indeed a game changer. It's that good. It's hard to describe in writing because it's all tactile and you really need to feel it for yourself. Anyone who tries it says the same thing. If factory shifter is 8 out of 10, the Acuity would be three times better than that. Anyone from SoCal who wants to check it out send me a PM. I'm not affiliated with Acuity.
