Yea I think it SHOULD be safe.. but don't want to risk it for that amount of $. Plus the Gruppe M looks sick when you pop the hood.
Any kind of carbon fiber looks sick under the hood ;)

varis hood also comes with a deflector thing that you can bolt underneath if it does indeed rain.

So you just notched the scoop? I can't get this thing in for the life of me.

My mechanic friend told me to just force it in there. Ended up accidentally breaking the top mounting bracket and now have to order another one. I'm so pissed off at this installation process. lmao.
Shit really???? :banghead::banghead:

Ok I'm going to have to look around to verify fitment.

Looking at the photos you may be right... those little vents might cause an issue.

Sound clip Eventuri + Sequence Exhaust

Windows rolled up.

There is some drone in the video, captured on an iPhone while holding the steering wheel... but in real life there isn’t any. Plug into CarPlay and volume around 24.

You should hold off on that. I heard that the Gruppe intake doesn't work with the Varis hood. I can't find the post but this topic came up again when I was chatting with my local CTR guys yesterday.
Spoke to Vivid. They called Varis. Said it would fit in conjunction with GruppeM intake. I hope so.

Here is the sound of the Eventuri + Sequence Exhaust from the street bystander viewpoint. My (11) year old son taped for me :)

Pulling in 3rd gear. CarPlay @about 26 for proper volume level.

No other mods

I also have a Varis hood and would like to know if the GruppeM will work with the varis hood. The next challenge would be cutting a hole for my Aerocatch stud...

Earlier in this thread we were discussing whether it was necessary to cut the side scoop to install, as it is difficult to fit as the cooling hoses are hard to move. Swapping to the new side scoop permitted me to revisit how to install without cutting. That said, notching the side scoop might result in a better fit:

Remove this bolt for the cooling hose bracket . I’m using a screw driver to point it out, but it uses a 12mm combo or socket.

Remove this bolt that holds the other cooling hose bracket.

And remove this bolt that holds the ground strap or whatever it is.

I had to remove the ECU to install/disassemble the airbox, so it is out of the way

Used a 12mm combo and socket (without ratchet no room) to remove this bolt.

And this bolt.

12mm socket by itself. Turned by hand once bolts loosened.

And a 10mm nutdriver to remove the ground cable

New side scoop installed. With the bolts that hold the cooling hose brackets removed the sidescoop can be pushed into place. Note this picture is with the (2) bolts reinstalled but not tightened yet

It was pretty difficult to get the bolts reinstalled with the scoop in place and trying to line up the bolt holes at same time. There is not a lot of room to do this. Fortunately I won’t have to do this again for awhile. For some reason it seemed harder to do this time around.

Notice the transmission fill plug marked with the dark blue dashes. The ECU and airbox must be removed to access this when it’s time to change transmission fluid. I switched to Amsoil today.

I have really good result, I'm currently working on some cooling mods, specially on the air hoses, but at the moment te IAT still too high for stop traffic, soon as I move the car the temperatures go under 100 degrees.

i have massive problems with the installation of the intake will try it again and romver more parts to get the scoop in, thought it would be easier to install for that high price.

Hi, i also have the eventuri kit and i´ve found that if you put baby oil in the scoop and in the oil cooler tubes it´s much easier to slide it in place.

How come some have the silicon hose and others have this plastic hose connecting to the air box ?
just wrapped up the install...no gap...at least not what you have...note the snorkel bracket fits completely flush to the factory bracket...hope this helps :)
