Just saw this on Facebook. Dream Works Performance out of PR has run an 11.4 second quarter mile at 127 mph. It's unclear what their build is, but they appear to have previously run low 12's on just bolt ons and race gas.

The SI may get all the attention from the aftermarket, but the R is closing in! I'd imagine that stock turbo builds with Port Injection will start hitting these kinds of numbers much more frequently once a plug and play style kit comes out.

Could’ve just bought an 18’ mustang and done that with simple bolt ons.

PS I don’t like drag racing so don’t mind me

I mean... hell. For that matter, he could have bought a stock Tesla Model S P100D with drag tires and run it in under 11 seconds.

Who hurt you, sir?

Well those aren’t anywhere near the same price. Mustang is cheaper than a CTR

They’ve done some good work. We converse on a number of things including Hondata tuning. Good stuff. They like to use Trofeo R 265/35/18 down there.

Any idea whether they're running the stock turbo? Built engine or stock? Port injection or race gas?

Nice times! How small are these turbos on the Si and CTR that they're always being upgraded it seems?

I used to live in PR and let me tell you racing is huge down there. I left in 1997 and at that time I had a Suzuki Swift GT with a 1.3 liter 4 cylinder. The guy I sold it to pieced a turbo kit together and had that little thing running 11's. I also got to see a rotary powered jet ski, lol. Glad to see some CTR love in PR, they're nuts.

Side note, I miss that place.

For everyone saying who cares it’s "not a drag car":

Improved straight line acceleration from a dig is probably the most important thing to make daily driving more fun, and it certainly doesn’t hurt for hpde on tracks where you have tight low speed corners.

Not sure if y’all live on The Nürburgring, but I certainly don’t
