Anyone try this yet? Thinking about finding some paint matched handles to swap out the chrome covers which I hate. Looks like they are around $67 a piece list price - already color matched - quick googling they seem to be listed for around $47 each on some of the sites.

Wonder if they outer cover is difficult to remove? This would only be a swap for EX/Touring models because of the "smart handles."

Having done this with my 2010 AWD Equinox, I considered doing the same with the CivicX (actually, changing from color match to chrome), but since my recall is not yet resolved, I've put this and all other DIY and upgrade projects on the back burner. It was super easy on the Equinox, simple two-piece, one bolt per handle, no need to remove door panel. It looks to be a bit more complicated on the 2016 Civic.

I have yet to find instructions for it, but looking at the parts diagram, it seems to be a bit more involved http://hondapartsnetwork.com/assemb...Variable-Transmission-Door-Locks-Outer-Handle

Agreed - doesn't look terribly difficult but its not as simple as snapping off the old and putting new covers on. Will most definitely have to remove the door panel etc. Maybe I'll just leave the chrome haha

I LOVE the chrome door handles, I have an EXT so I have the body color handles. Funny what we prefer and don't.

Part numbers with TBA in the middle were originally designated for sedan, so if you see them show up in the coupe catalog, they are interchangeable.

Has anyone changed from Chrome handles to body color match and is willing to part with their original chrome handles? I've found and purchased some online but they turned out to be chrome covers. I would prefer the actual Honda chrome handles, so I thought I'd check before installing the covers.

Idk if you're still interested, but I have the chrome ones on my touring and hate them... rather have grey color matched
