So this Sunday I saw a 2019 Civic Sport while in the drive-thru. I immediately noticed the Si wheels on the car. I also notices the front chrome piece was blacked out like the Si as well. Then I saw an older couple get into the car so I know they did not modify the car. This bothers me the Si is supposed to be a special performance edition and now they are going to look exactly like every other one on the road except for the actual Si badge. Anyone else think that is pretty shitty? It should have some unique parts... yes yes I know the wing and badge.

***Edit: I'll be sure to never post anything close to a controversial topic on this forum again. Everyone seems to be getting seriously butt hurt really easily over nothing. I was simply stating a special edition car should hmmm actually look special... I know crazy thinking right.****

I could not possibly care less what someone else's car looks like. Does not bother me in the least. It would make me mad if it looked/performed the same at a lower price point. Does not perform the same, so I don't care.

they did blur the lines between the different models for 2019.
they should have kept the models unique.

but to put some realism into this, most people won't know the difference. the percentage of honda owners that know the difference can't be more than 2%.

My brother has one, but he is not into getting more performance from his car. He is a turn key go guy unlike me that wants to "mod" my car. I am jealous that they still get the gun metal/black wheels while the Si has the black/aluminum polished look wheel.

"Special" performance edition? No. It's just another trim level. Does it bother me that someone mods their car? No.

Some people want the sporty look, but do not care for the performance.

I traded a 2017 Scatpack Charger for my Si

The SRT boys were unsettled about the Scatpack. The Scatpack boys were triggered by the V6 SuperTrackPak (which looks nearly identical to the Scat) and donā€™t even start mentioning the STPā€™s with Brembos lol

So no, no fā€™s given

It doesn't bother me to be honest. However, I now go "Ooh! Another Si! Oh....it's a sport. :rolleyes1:"

Honestly it doesn't bother me any. I know my car is different, and that's all that matters :)

However, I don't agree with Honda's decision to do it. But I digress..

Well at least now itā€™ll make it easier to find some sport wheels to put on my Si. Iā€™m going for the blackout look on mine so those wheels work perfect

No, it doesn't bother me that you think older people do not modify their cars. Should it? ;)

You could always wrap your Si. To make it unique, do it in pink.
