Shouldn't be difficult at all. Just follow the directions and post pics when done.Hope this isn't too difficult. been waiting for a decent priced civic one to come out and the only one i liked so far was 700 plus. so just ordered the one on the link on here. excited
Very VERA nice. A clean install. Good job. Yeah it can be a little* small because it just isn't measured to fit the civic bumper but people won't really notice and they will for sure ask where you got the lip.well. project complete. thanks again @2slo4u. i feel like the lip was just a hair too small but managed to get it on. and love the way it looks
What about that grill light though?well. project complete. thanks again @2slo4u. i feel like the lip was just a hair too small but managed to get it on. and love the way it looks
just a couple thin really bright led strips that are wired to the fog lightsWhat about that grill light though?
Ibwouldnt worry about this on a lease.. I plan on doing it to my lease once im done.. If i feel the inspector or dealer is gonna look underneath il put some body colored vinyl stickers under there... Even if they saw the holes underneath for some reason thwy might not even think anything of themhere is an active link for you. if the link is no longer active (down the road for future readers) search the lip name on ebay..Note: different name, same lip

Thank you! post pics if you do do so!
The frame that is on the car is the OEM one that came with the car, just took the Dealerships frame off that surrounds the plate.
Because this is a custom job you can't really use the holes that are under the bumper. The holes that are there are pretty far back anyway and when you return the car they don't look under the car anyway. When I worked for Honda we never looked to see if any mods were ever done unless like..you were to drill the side of the car to install some big side skirts..you should be ok
Great write-up, thanks...Scion FRS front lip on the Civic? Yep, you heard that right. I found out that the front lip fits. If you've followed my other threads you know the details. If not, Welcome! I'll try to be as detailed as I can and answer most questions through the post. If you have any questions please feel free to message me and I will help how I can.
**PLEASE READ IT ALL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO GET A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF THE INSTALL**
Parts:
Drill with a small drill bit
Screw Driver. 4 point and flathead
Hex key set
2 inch long bolt with washers and nut
FRS HT-Auto front lip(you'll be using the suppled screws)
A friend or painters tape, which ever is cheaper.
A can of black Plasti-dip (you can choose to paint match or not paint it at all but it looks cleaner black and I also dipped his grille area black as well to match for a cleaner look)
Before we start, please do this at your own risk. The difficulty level on this is like...4 out of 10 but you do have to know what you're doing as well and it could be time consuming. Having a helper does make it easier but for sure doable by yourself (I did it myself my first time)
You will be using the holes that come pre-drilled on the front lip
My Civic already has the lip on so I added the lip on my cousins car that he just bought as well..and that is where we will start. ..
All stock
Dipped the front lip with 6 layers of black Plasti-Dip
You will have to start with the sides on each side. Align the lip with the bumper and make sure it is flush with the end of the bumper. Notice how I have the lip tucked under the bumper for the cleanest look.
Drill and screw the screw(s) in just enough to hold the lip on and do not tighten yet till the end.
After doing both sides, go to the front of the lip and do the middle screw to have the lip somewhat mounted.
Once the lip has been secured by those three screws (2 on the side and 1 in the middle) go around and install the rest of the screws leaving the "Fangs" part of the lip last.
While you're down there, use the flathead and unclip and use a hex key (should be two bolts with hex) to take off the yellow circled parts. If you're confused, while you're down there you'll see what needs to be taken off. Do it to both sides.
When it comes to the fang parts of the lip you'll have to drill a big enough hole to fit the bolt through.
Feed the bold through and with the nut in your other hand pull down the bumper a bit to fit your hand in and put the nut onto the bolt and tighten.
With those two bolts bolted up and tight go ahead and tighten the screws and reinstall all clips and bolts.
After pictures with lip install and grille blacked out.
Not too sure how low it sits but as long as your drill more towards the front of the car you should be good. With the FRS lip and the Ikonmotorsports Lip I have on I haven't ran into any problems hitting anything. Just a heads up that there is the reservoirits that low?
cool thanks, yeah i just got my ikon lip today so i will get it installed this week. Not too sure how low it sits but as long as your drill more towards the front of the car you should be good.
