Well it looks like you have the model with the separated amplifier.

In this case your speaker outputs will be on the amplifier.
I dont have this pinout.

Via RS485 on the same connector as the Tunner unit.

Check this connector on the radio (But what you need is the speaker outputs and this one you can get only on the Amplifier diagram).

Don't worry.
Everything that was posted here might be useful for those who want to retrofit this unit on Civics.

Hi everyone, planning to do this on my Civic LX. I don’t need AM/FM. Just looking for Bluetooth, Android Auto, and backup camera.

From what I can tell it seems the connector for Speakers and Power are the same as LX connector and I should just be able to plug this in. I would have to splice into this however for ground and +B audio (Blue tooth?)

It seems like the same is true for the Microphone and rear camera connector. It seems like I will have to splice into the reverse light wire or fuse to tell the head unit to turn on the backup camera, what connectors and cables would be needed for that?

That would then mean that I would have to do the following to get the unit working.

  1. Connect 16P cavity 4 to 5p cavity 4 for Tablet Display
  2. Connect 16P cavity 9 to 24p A1 for GND
  3. Connect 5P cavity 1 to 24p cavity A3 For +B Audio?
  4. Connect 5P cavity 5 to 24p cavity A1 for GND

Am I understanding this correctly?

The connectors for power and Speakers are the same (For 7 Inch units without AMP), no need for extra wires except for the rear camera.
Mic is the same and the camera too, just the rear signal I think it needs some attention.

The reason that the two pieces you have don't mate up is that they are for two different things. One of the connectors is for for the tuner unit to receive the signal from the car's antenna. this piece needs to connect to the adapter I posted earlier. you will connect the two adapters together and plug it into the OEM antenna connector behind the head unit.

and the other is to send the signal from the tuner unit to the head unit.

you will need two of the adapters pictured above along with a male to male antenna adapter to join them together. once that is done you will connect one end to the tuner unit and the other into the new EX radio

I got everything to work except there's no option to adjust the Balance, Fade, Bass, and Treble. Also the "Menu' button doesn't seem to do anything.

As much as I'd like to try this, just seems too tedious. And is the cost worth it, versus going with one of the Android 9" models?
