This is simple to accomplish. Don't be turned away by the bumper removal.

Here are the clip locations in yellow.
Be gentle. Honda didnt spend to much time designing these to be robust.

Honda H Emblem is held on by these plus adhesive.

All screws are accessible through the back side, so the bumper has to be removed.

Hope this helps out everyone.

P.S.- anyone know of a rear roof spoiler that fits the 2 door coupe? I like ikon motorsports design but it's only for sedan.

Sorry I just saw your reply. I wrapped my slimmest flat head with painters tape to prevent scratches.

I guess same idea for the tabs. Slide screwdriver between headlight and bumper to push it down?
Exactly. That's why I wrapped it in painters tape to prevent scratches. The tabs under the headlights are easy to access with the screw driver. The tabs on the fenders by the side markers, these will scare you, but just pull straight out and they come undone. A nice smooth jerk.

A plastic upholstery tool will work great. I wasn't willing to use a screwdriver to pry it.

Thanks so much for this. Took a while getting a feel for the clips. Those suckers on the headlight chrome accents are a real pain with how fragile they are.

You should just have to push down on two tabs and they come right off

Just curious. I am seriously thinking about swapping the chrome grille for either the RS or hatchback grille. I am a noob when it comes to big projects and this looks very intimidating. How many hours did it take you to accomplish the swap? Thanx.

Honestly, I don't know. I did it through out the day. Removing just the bumper, taking my time to be careful, I'd say 1 hour. After that is done, the grill is just screws and clips.

Would it be possible for anyone to make a video for the 2016 Honda Civic? I tried for hours and for the life of me I just can't get it off, I feel like I'm breaking the car. Thanks

It will feel like you are breaking it. The clips pop. Just be easy and gentle with it and all will be fine. I can explain any step to you if need be.

Post pics if you do the swap. I'm about to buy the grille online at hondapartsnow.com and it totals about $195 (with shipping to the bay area). If you find a better deal, let me know. There are a bunch of Honda OEM websites but shipping is super expensive.

Man, thank you for this info! I was kinda computing how much it would all cost and I was sure it would be over $250. This is a big relief. I'll definitely check it out soon. If I do find a site selling it cheaper, will def let you know.

Are you also going to order the matte black lower portion?

What exactly are you referring to on the lower portion? I'm very seriously considering this upgrade.
