That’s awesome. Nice choice I think doing the conversion looks really good and gives that dimension needed. With the type R I would be hesitant to cut the bumper too. Cause if needed you can buy the OEM mesh for like $40 per and pop back on.Didn't do front, no cut to bumper. Just cut out old grill and molded new one. Bought diamond grill sheet on Amazon.
Yeah I believe it, it's freaking hard and time consuming...Btw, to the guy that cut out the diamond by hand, awesome job. USR is selling one front left grill cut out for $250!
I did cut the bumper, not worried though cause if replaced with OEM it would work just the same and never be noticedDid you cut bumper?
Correct, and I’m sure any enthusiast will generally love this conversion.I did cut the bumper, not worried though cause if replaced with OEM it would work just the same and never be noticed
Thank you. That's crazy though cause they didn't even cut that much. I could easily do that in 30-60 mom with a $2 box cutter
Not a bad idea...WOW! See you can start a small business. lol
Happy to have seen this. I considered this as an approach but wantwa confident enough that it wouldn't backfire.Anyone that wants go do this themselves should a grinder or sander to shave the backside. Definately less effort and time
Horrible idea. I tried this and it’s a mess and impossible to have clean outcome. When you sand at high or even low speeds it will sand/melt the abs plastic. It also leaves rough edges around diamond mesh.Anyone that wants go do this themselves should a grinder or sander to shave the backside. Definately less effort and time
