I can use power windows and sunroof
@tonton81 Would you share the B-CAN codes for the windows and locks, please. Though I am working on an Odyssey, I bet Honda uses the codes consistently.

My goal is to crack open the windows if it gets really hot inside, but make sure the doors are locked first.

My candump looks like this, and I'm just getting started sifting through it for relevant codes:

Code:

the window codes are not on CAN. the passenger door is LIN bus controlled via driver door, back doors are hardwired with shit polyfuse motors in rear. the sunroof is LIN bus controlled via driver door PW MICU. Anyways, if you have an HDS you can try to sniff the diagnostic packets (KLINE) for window control, but you wont find the codes on CAN normally because..... they arn't broadcasted normally. the window modules i installed gives me venting and one touch for all windows, and now i can control windows and sunroof with car unlocked, doesn't have to be started. When i arm the car, the windows and sunroof sleep. this allows me to shut ignition off, open door, and still be able to close moonroof and sunroof without them not letting you :)

it also blocks the OEM rolldown, i can create my own keycode rolldown if needed, ex: lock lock unlock hold to roll down, or tap start then hold lock to roll up. or..... double tap start then hold unlock, and for every second held, the windows vent about an inch :)

@tonton81 yeah, the locks and windows on the Odyssey are on CAN, but not F-CAN (the one on OBD2 that runs the engine, etc).

Instead, there is another can B-CAN (body can). I tapped in through the rear fuse box.

anyhow, thanks for the response - at least I am not overlooking something obvious

on my civic i am directly wired to the BCM harness. if you really think you have window controls on CAN, check the diagram for your PW MICU on driver door. If it is LIN on the white wire, I highly doubt, VERY highly doubt that it's CAN controlled. :)

connected to single wire LIN:
SUNROOF
SIDE MIRRORS
DOOR LOCKS SWITCHES ON FRONT DOORS
FRONT 2 WINDOWS (NOT REAR, THEYRE HARDWIRED TO DRIVER PW MICU)

@tonton81 I had such hopes since pressing 'unlock' 3-times on the remote causes the windows to roll down. I assumed that keyless control would be sending BCAN messages to a windows control.

no, sorry, it doesn't. the keyfob rolldown AND the physical key is controlled via the PW MICU at driver door, and happens within that same circuit at the driver door, the transponder bus just identifies the key, but everything else happens within the master switch which you don't have access to. like i said, if you can sniff the codes an HDS sends during a diagnostic session on kline, if they exist, then we can move forward with an MCU on KLINE, and there MIGHT be a way to send a kline diagnostic request over CAN, but without all that, if you get any data pf course, you won't get far.

the roll down only works with doors closed and ignition off. of your car is running or remote started, keyfob rolldown doesn't work at all. in my setup, i have up and down and vent capability, irregardless of ignition state.

here is a video I am demonstrating of controlling sunroof and windows using custom keyfob commands. this works even if remote started or doors opened, whereas the OEM rolldown only works with engine off and doors closed. This setup prevents OEM rolldown from working so, no more accidental rolldowns :)

please don't start running to your car to try it out, it won't work, this is a hobby project with hardware and software mods.

Hello, I am sure there has been a post where this is explained, but I have now searched this forum for an hour and I cant find it. Can anyone tell me how to disable the auto-down window feature from the key fob? I am sick of finding my car open overnight, often with snow or rain on the seats. It seems that my sitting motion is perfect to activate this feature.

If an admin wants to message me the thread with this information, and then delete this thread, I understand.
I would really be interested in knowing this, too! The dealership had no clue!!!

With the new Civics there is a way to disable the feature
