Difference between 2.0 civic and type r engine

I Wanted to know the difference between the type r 2.0 engine and the base model 2.0 engine. I know the type r has a turbo and everything but is it the same engine or no?

Completely different. The new accord 2.0t is a slightly detuned type r engine. It's the same block without the upgrades that the type r engine.

Could be same basic block, but still have entirely different heads. Different compression ratio, so different piston and heads. Bore & stroke could be different too.
