First event in the books! And I did pretty well (top time in first heat, raw timed in the second, drier heat by only an SM Audi TT RS and SSM Miata) but encountered an issue I wasn't expecting.
First couple of runs I used "R" mode but left stability mode partly on. It wasn't bad; throttle cuts were mild and not abrupt. But when I kicked it up a notch on third and fourth runs I got big, graunchy brake lockup -- like ABS with the world's slowest pulse cycle. It was noisy and obvious enough for folks to comment on it.
Turned everything off as water began to drain away and didn't feel it again.
If it matters: Conti ECS 33F, 30R; wet sealed asphalt with some standing water; about 35 degrees.
UPDATING THIS: Second event, dry, sunny and cold, and the quick hits of brake lockup even more pronounced. Co-driver (Annie Gill, who knows these cars) felt it as well. Didn't affect times, which were great.
I'm super hard on brakes. Wonder if I should look for a less bitey pad ...
