I know this is a D street thread but where does a modified CTR go STX or STU?

STU seems to have a better pax modifier so that's where you'd want to go right? With just some 18" wheels and Hondata where does that send you?

The 18s and a hondata/Ktuner I believe puts you in DSP. If you go with a 19x8.5 1” smaller than oem and stay on the oem tune it’ll still keep you in DS.

Yea I have no interest in the wheels I know about that one, you can't run the Hondata tune in DS though? Either way just curious what the difference between being in DSP VS STU is

:agree: with no wider than 285 and no lower 200 tr tires you'll be STU legal.

Probably more fun to go SMF, but it might be more competitive in DSP

I have a 2019 CTR and plan to compete in SCCA DS class. I am planning on running Motegi MR924 wheels with 71Rs. Conventional wisdom says you should stay with a tread width that is close to the rim width. I am leaning toward 255/35/19, but am interested to find out if anybody has directly compared the 255's with the 265's. I need to get them ordered and I don't want to spend the extra $1k to buy both 255 and 265 for the front.

either will work for you. i run 255s on my18 since our courses in hawaii are typically 30-40 seconds, tight and slow speed. i also rotate tires after every race for even wear. gl!

I see you are using the Karcepts rear sway bar. What settings do you prefer? I envy you doing autocross in Jan! It was -26 F here last week!
