Did you have to do anything special to get the center brace on?
None at all. You just need 2 pcs of the OEM M12 bolt to mount the front part of the brace to the subframe, the rear part re uses the stock bolts from the frame.

Is there any underbody aero panel that has to be removed first?
You need to remove the engine plastic underpanel to have access to the subframe install the cusco cross brace, then re install the underpanel.
