Honestly after NYIAS I don't know if its just me but I feel as if the Type R forums have been depressed. So to keep hope up lets do a mod list with links too. If this has been done already sorry in advance. Heres mine so far (performance/things not out yet not included)

The alarm and dash cam aren't bad ideas. I might add some mechanical theft deterrents as well.

Some minor euro features that can be easily integrated.

Not really an integrated mod, but I'll be driving with my trusty Escort Redline, the Type R of radar/laser detectors.

Definitely with you on the Viper mod, that will be a necessity. Unsure about what I'm planning on doing, but good idea to start having some ideas thrown around.

You mean radar detector? Your link points to the Escort Redline. Btw, if you're going to order the Redline, make sure it's flashed with the latest firmware which enables you to control "radar detector rejection" and "band segmentation" settings.

Radar detector sorry lol, and when the time comes to order ill definitely put way more thought and time into which imma order, just that one looks nice and promising. Not trying to have an ugly set up

Even compared to newer radar detectors on the market, the Escort Redline is still the king when it comes to raw range and responsiveness. It has over a 14-mile range with no obstacles, although in reality, it doesn't really matter after a certain distance. However, unless you're on a flat desert road, you'll always have curves and obstacles, so sensitivity matters. No bells and whistles like GPS, red light camera database, directional indicators, speedometer, etc (unless you pair the detector with the Escort app on your phone). VG2 and Spectre radar detector-detector cloaking shield, but you won't care about that unless you're in VA or DC.

Literally, the Type R of radar detectors - no frills performance.

But my first mod will be in this order:
1. alarm system.
1b. Tint windows.
2. Sparco kid seat
3. Rays/ Volk Racing CE28n 18in rims.
3b. Euro side markers
4. After-market cat-back exhaust
5. Intake system
5a. FlashPro/ Tune
6. Takata racing seat belts/ harness
7. Interior OEM lighting system

You need a harness bar for those belts, no?

Also, is the Viper Alarm system being discussed in here the best option? I have to park mine outside and want something pretty sensitive so it doesn't end up on blocks one night or worse.

My list is probably:

• Euro Side Markers
• Tint (Legal max all around + windshield 90% Crystal)
• Wrap (I think I'm going to do Yellow like in the other thread where someone did a render of it.)
• Alarm of some sort
• Already have a radar detector, 9500ix I think it is.
• FlashPro/Tune (No performance mods besides this for now. Want to keep my warranty claims trouble free if needed and I spoke to my Honda service group about this already.)

Also, possibly Euro rear fog lights.

The rear fogs seem to be integrated into the rear tails. I guess that means we'll need to replace the entire tail cluster assembly (which means we'd lose the side reflector present on USDM tails)? The wiring harness (if they even sell this part) connecting the fogs to the switch inside the cabin is required too.

Ok my list is pretty easy-

Day 1:
5% tint on back windows
20% tint on front two windows
Recaro booster seats for the 4 & 5 yr old kids

As soon as available-
Flashpro
Blow off valve (assuming no issues with MAF tuning)
Intake
EDM goodies - rear fog lights, power folding mirrors, clear side marker, and maybe headlight washing system!


I am trying to stick with the relatively quiet exhaust as long as possible. One of the things I don't like about my Si is how loud it is on the highway on the occasions I do need to roadtrip it.

How about warranty issues?

I'm "waiting to see" in terms of performance mods, but very soon after taking delivery, I'll have to do 19" wheel with more tires.

Performance for me is just an intake, tune, catback, suspension, and maybe a blow off

Re: Takata seat belts & harness bar. Yes, I think it will require it so I might have to wait on that mod... but I am digging your Euro Side Marker and FlashPro/ Tune. I think Ill add those to my list.
