It's become colder here recently (around -20C / -4F) and my windshield has started to make a creaking sound. It seems to be coming from the top area, somewhere near the middle near the rear view mirror and front camera. Anyone have something similar happen, and what did you do to get rid of it? I've tried pressing and holding the mirror and plastic cover for the camera, but that didn't help at all. This is my third winter with the car and it hasn't done this previously. The windshield hasn't been replaced at all while I've had the car.

A few videos, you may need to turn up your volume.

Well here's a few fool's errands that you can try if you like.

Remove the camera cover and see if there's a loose wire that's vibrating against the plastic cover.

See if the noise stops if you let the cabin temperature get closer to the outside air temp. Or see if it changes when blowing colder or warmer air on the glass via the defrost/defog vents.

Also... maybe there's something loose in the map light area.

But I'm not aware of any general problems with this.

Good luck.
