Yo this is actually really nice and remind me of the BMSPEC extension, but looks better IMO. I'm definitely gonna cop this. There also this version on ebay:
Nice! The problem I've had with the duckbill spoilers out right now is that they don't span across the small section of the tail lights which make them look stunted IMO. I love that the Casale duckbill goes all the way across. The only thing that worries me with their spoiler is whether it blocks the rear view significantly. The spoiler seems a bit high, but maybe it's just the angle of the photo.Casale Duckbill
Will do. I just ordered it and I'll let you guys know how it goesPost pictures once you get it
The Casale duckbill is what I've been patiently waiting for. It's currently only a prototype, but I was told that it should be available to the public soon. Well worth the wait IMO!Nice! When I asked him he said they didn't have pricing line up yet, but did say that the pricing will be competitive with other brands. Is there a tentative price point?
Got it. So between $80 and $550. A heck of a ballpark. /sWhen I asked him he said they didn't have pricing line up yet, but did say that the pricing will be competitive with other brands.
Dude, that spoiler looks great. The old saying is actually the Project Management Triangle and is still used in product development today. There's the old saying "Cheap. Quick. Good. Pick two".
Haha. Well, I'm a Continuous Improvement Analyst, so the PMT is something I always think about.Dude, that spoiler looks great. The old saying is actually the Project Management Triangle and is still used in product development today.
You got a link to this thing. Mi Gusta!!!!Alright guys, here's the moment of truth. I went ahead and ordered the eBay spoiler extension and it looks like I'm the first person to ever do so. What a distinguish honor haha.
First off, I was really skeptical because the image used is clearly a Photoshop. But I figured for $199 it was worth the risk for a styling piece I've really wanted. The spoiler arrived today. It took just 2 days to deliver to SoCal from Taiwan via DHL. That was unexpectedly awesome. The spoiler came exceptionally packaged and no box damage at all. I unboxed it and the result is below.

This isn't like the GAS spoiler that sort of wraps around the spoiler deck. It's a flat piece that sits on top. The finish is quite nice, about an 8/10. The bottom though is a little rough, but considering you have to use tape it really doesn't matter. Speaking of tape, the spoiler comes with a sizable roll for free. It seems ok quality, but I chose to use wide 3M tape. Once I inspected it, I prepped my car and installed it. It took maybe 20 minutes and only that long because the fit is just a hair off. It takes some time to line it up just right. I also ate an ice cream sandwich because it was hot out. That's added 2 minutes. Here's the results.

It doesn't lift up quite as high as the Photoshopped image (shocker). It's a little more conservative in its style which is ok with me since I'm trying to keep a more stock-ish look with my mods. I gotta say I'm actually impressed. The images don't do it justice. It looks pretty dang nice in person. I have carbon fiber side mirror caps too, so it looks very cohesive on my car. I still think the GAS extension looks better, but this thing is like 1/3 of the price. I have absolutely no complaints.
Is it worth the money? Definitely. Spoiler options for the hatch are pricey/limited and this beats a lot of them hands down. Fitment can be slightly tweeked for improvement, but I've never installed one of these before and I nailed it, so a more experienced person should have zero issues. There's the old saying "Cheap. Quick. Good. Pick two". This is the extremely rare exception. I fully recommend it.
