Hey guys this is my civic sport with 34,000 miles on it and it’s a 2017. My clear coat on my rims and paint is pealing off and I’m in a panic . What are my best options.’

Take it to the dealer if you’re under warranty

Lol I probably should have full sized the image before commenting, yeah I agree with ^^^ it does look like plasti dip peel. The car was bought used ? If so were the rims all black? Because stock they are not

If that is plastidip, your best course of action is to carefully remove the rest. It will take a while, plastidip typically does not peel off of wheels easily, so prepare to spend a few hours chipping and flaking it off. Then, if you miss the blacked-out look, get a few cans of plastidip or appropriate paint and repaint them.

Us WD-40 or go to a pressure washing By hand car wash (don’t spray it too close, about 2-3 feet away)

Unfortunately if it was plastidip my life would be easier but it is the paint from the factory . I might just buy a nice set of rims and take them in for warranty work if I’m lucky ! Thanks for the help though I haven’t even used plastidip before .

I’ve never seen a civic come factory with those rims all in black. Those rims are usually black with a machined face. Was the car used? Because I think they painted them. You should be able to remove all that paint and your rims should look like this

No problem. Hope it comes off easily for you. You may want to get a pliable plastic scraper to coax off some of the ornery bits in nooks and crannies. Enjoy your "new" look!
