Civic Type R-Anyone know if there is homelink auto dimming wiring in the headliner area

any Ideas All????? did one of these on my frs but the wiring was there so it was a breeze. it sure is nice to have the home link

If there is no auto dimming mirror installed in the car from factory, chances are there is no harness. There is a thread about homelink and auto dimming.

I will be adding it to my car. But I did buy a harness from Honda. But the Honda harness is for only auto dimming, not homelink. SO you have will have to tap into a dome light to get power to homelink on the mirror, and possibly move around wire on the harness itself.

This is if you want homelink on the mirror.

No, you will need to splice it together.

so i cut the 7 pin connector off the honda harness and connected my ign and batt wire from pigtail to brown, i connected black pigtail wire to ground, and connected blue pigtail wire to the light green back acc.

my mirror powers on, my compass works, my homelink has power, when i follow the instructions to clear the homelink by pressing the two outer homelink buttons they flash quickly to notate it has been cleared.

next step is to hold the homelink button i want to program while pressing the garage door remote button down as well until i see quick flashing then let go.....I never see the homelink quick flash...

Please Help! My mirror is the gntx-453 with hidden compass.
