Just ordered some BBS RF521 with Michelin ps4s in 265/35/18 and eibach springs from GRP. They were super helpful answering all my questions about fitment, sizing, tires, height. I’m really excited about the purchase and can’t wait to post some update pictures when they get in.

Took the Type R on its first trackday, so here's some better photos of the wheel as requested. This is more of a closer setup to factory and it felt great on the track :)

Looks great! Do you remember the weight of those wheels? I didn’t see it listed on the sites I have checked.

Are 18s or 19s better performance wise ?
There are compromises with each choice(18s, 19s, 20s). So, it’s really about picking the size which best aligns with your priorities.

For me, 18s are the best compromise for these reasons:

-They’re significantly lighter; better acceleration & braking
-The barrel of the wheel is closest to the hub; better acceleration & braking
-The wheels are less expensive
-The tires are significantly less expensive
-There is a wider selection of tires
-The sidewall is the largest; better ride and improved wheel/tire protection

my new set of nsx front 19x8.5 +55mm et wheels are arriving tomorrow from grp who's amazing to work with. these are the oem forged nsx y-spoke wheels in metallic grey and weigh 10 lbs less per wheel (40 lbs total weight saving). i had grp mounted bridgestone re-71r tires in size 245/35/19. this setup is the only -1 setup i've found to be the closest to stock specs (almost perfect) without killing the scrub radius and upsetting the front suspension design.

total for the set $3702 including mount, balance, and ship from grp located 3 hrs west of me. i have the conical-to-ball seat lug nut adapters coming along with black open ended conical lug nuts from motorsport hardware to use with the nsx wheels (see my post on this here: https://www.civicx.com/threads/ctr-lug-nuts-solution.22905/)

thanks to @chi town brat for her input as she has the same wheels.

my 3rd set of wheels are the limited edition volk racing ze40 time attacked wheels in 19x9.5 +44mm et i have pre-ordered ($3,700 per set) but won't arrive until june. i'll use those for track time with tbd r-compound only track tires.

4th set of wheels are 19 or 18" for use with runflat snow tires, blizzak or pirellis. still looking for a good low budget set since this is best time of year to get winter wheels-tires because of clearance and sales.
