Was talking to RedFK8 about his setup and tire sizes the other day. Since I am not going to run a R compound tire like the RE-71R and instead something like the Pilot Super Sport, he was thinking that tire wouldn't have rubbing issues. I like the additional width of the 275/35 and more so it has less speedometer error. Just don't want any rubbing and guessing I should stick with 265/35. Thoughts?@RedFK8 's second set of Volks lol: TE37 Saga 18x9.5 +45 Bronze w/ 275/35r18 RE-71R
45lbs for the combined wheel and tire weight - slight rubbing on hard dips in comfort mode
I have 265/35s RT-615s and had zero rubbing problems back when I was stock and now even lowered on Eibachs. Judging by the clearance I see, you can probably be ok with a 275/35 but I don't have any first hand experiences. Was talking to RedFK8 about his setup and tire sizes the other day. I would honestly stick with 265/35 in your case to avoid any possible rubbing. Pilot Super Sport are less aggressive than RE-71R but they're still fairly aggressive tires, I looked up the specs on the RE71R versus the PSS and the PSS is only .1 iches less tread width and .2 inches less sectional width. At that I'd say you are only getting .05~.1 inches more clearance by going the 275/35 PSS. That could be all you need but that would be something you would find out lolWas talking to RedFK8 about his setup and tire sizes the other day. I so regret not jumping on that Black Friday deal!! This is the look I want. So nice. This is a new breed of Hyundai. It's a product designed by Albert Biermann... a German guy who is the head of Hyundai's new N division. He's not just any German guy either. He was the head of BMW's M division before take the Hyundai job. I have the feeling this car will pretty much nail the performance for the money.
I suspect this car will more than give the GTI and Focus ST a run for the money and be a cheaper alternative (but not as good) to the Type R.
I will honor the Black Friday deal for you. We have 2 sets left in 19s i think. One black one silver, i need to confirm tomorrow.I so regret not jumping on that Black Friday deal!! This is the look I want. So nice.
