How's the handling compared to stock?
Not sure why I didn't get a notification for this, sorry for the late reply.

It handles amazing. In fact I would say better than stock. Extra rubber and a good sidewall just gives the turns a better feel. I don't feel like the rubber is sliding off the rims at all LOL.

Clearance on the caliper is TIGHT, 1 credit cards worth of space.

I would honestly order a 3mm spacer, that is scary close. I know from experience!

Wow! That's SUPER close. I've got about 1.2mm in mine. 1.5mm is typically recommended, however, discount tire did the "business card check" lmao

What are you guys doing for centering rings with these aftermarket rims?

I just bought TRMOTORSPORT C4 wheels that were off an M3, with size: 5x120 18x8.5 ET40.
Since they were on an M3, I know I will need the centering rings for a Type R.

How do I know what I need?

The Type R hubs are 64.1mm. You will need to measure the inner hub diameter of the TRMOTORSPORT C4 wheel with a digital caliper (you can get these for cheap on Amazon or at Harbor Freight). Once you have that measurement, you need that measurement to a 64.1mm hub ring.

Looking at snow tires, will a 225x45 r19 on 19x8.5 +53 fit. I'm worried that the tires will be a bit too tall.

I doubt you'd have rubbing issues at that size, but I'd recommend 225/40R19 to stay closer to stock diameter. Certainly some personal preference as many do not care if the speedometer and odometer are a bit off; and just account for it.

ZEs are diamond dark gunmetal. I have it set to drop slightly less than 1” (id say 0.9”)... basically finger gap all around
