+25 is way too low of an offset. You'll have rubbing issues with the fenders along with noticeable torque steer.

There's nothing you can do to make the torque steer any better. You could roll the fenders but that's still a lot of poke.

I found a great deal online for 18x9 et25 wheels.. tire comparison link states that scrub radius will change by 30-35 mm.. I am not sure what to do? I really like the wheels but don't want to alter type r great handling.. is there any mod I can do to help with problem using these wheels could create? I just joined this forum today as there so many expert people here.. any help on this matter would be very much appreciated!!

Picked up my FK8 yesterday, immediately stored the OEM wheels and put my set from the FK2 on it.

Japan Racing JR11 Bronze 19x8,5" ET40. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/35R19.

I'll finish off these tyres over the summer, after which these wheels will move to winter duty. (I've got a set of slimline snow chains for this wheel/tyre size from the FK2) and then move to a new set of 18" for the summer.

I was lowered with eibach until a couple weeks ago. I don’t really see a difference in look, I’d have to go lower or get coilovers to get the best look. But then the ride would suck.

Stock is pretty darn good. Hard to beat.

Just put on some new Rays VOLK TE37 Sagas in 18x9.5 +33 w/ 265/35/18 on our Type R! Loving how it looks.

Face-4 concavity at this size (max concave) in an 18x9.5 configuration! New custom batch order we did.

The setup looks great!!

How were you able to offset the scrub radius? I'm in a similar situation.. I have good 18*9 25 offset wheels but the scrub radius increases 30 mm with 235/35 tire..any of your advice would be great!

Forgot to mention, I’m no longer lowered.
yeah, I'll be there soon most likely...tired of it myself. I feel like the handling was better on factory springs. Spoon is def better feel wise compared to how the prokit was for me, but still...felt like factory was just better overall

Question:

As primarily a DD, my goal is wheel protection, slightly softer ride (I live in New England, and bottomed out the rims on potholes at <600 miles; that dreaded metal on asphalt sound?), and minimizing speedo error.

Anyone see any drawbacks with this configuration:
Stock suspension w/Weds RN05M 18X9 +50 in gloss black running General G-Max RS or PS4S 255/40ZR18

Note: I wanted Titan7 T-S5s, but I can't wait until September.

Honestly just hold out for the Titans. I also run the RS tire but with 265/35/18. I like how they drive for DD and I have two babies. Easily sleeps with these tires, and the 18s are so much smoother. The lightness of the wheels are awesome.

The tire dimensions have nothing to do with scrub radius.

Scrub radius is determined by wheel offset, nothing else in the wheel/tire package has any effect. An ET25 wheel will create +35mm more scrub radius than the OEM wheel. Not sure where you got "scrub radius will change by 30-35 mm". Scrub radius change due to a wheel offset change is an exact measurement, there is no range in potential values. It is a change of 35mm, period.

And you got good advice here:

+25 is way too low of an offset. You'll have rubbing issues with the fenders along with noticeable torque steer.

There's nothing you can do to make the torque steer any better. You could roll the fenders but that's still a lot of poke.
Perfect advice, in fact. There is really nothing else anyone can say on the subject, so you should listen to it.
