First post and first-time Honda owner here:
No other dealer in NC would match this price, much less beat it. I tried for weeks to negotiate lower, but in that time I missed out on two in Aegean Blue because they were selling like hotcakes from under me.
- 2018 Honda Civic Si Sedan - Modern Steel Metallic
- Base Price - $22,265.00
- Wheel Locks & Lifetime Nitrogen - $499.00; Splash Guards - $153.00; Cargo Tray - $133.60
- NC Highway Use Tax - $711.00
- NC Tag, Title, and Registration - $89.00; Dealer Administrative Processing Fee - $649.00
- Hendrick Honda - Charlotte, NC
- Final Price OTD = $24,500.00
Actual value$499 for wheel locks, and air?
Very nice OTD. Did they charge Destination Fee in the 22,200? In VA, they are charging 875 plus 500 for processing.Looks like I posted this in the wrong thread so here it is ...
Just bought a 2018 SI coupe in blue for $22,200 + $299.18 (dealer fees, title, etc) + $1,332 (sales tax) = $23,831.15 OTD. I'm in PA and the dealer didn't even have the car on the lot. He said he couldn't get in the $22k range without the car being on his lot so I told him I'd go to one that had it and after a good poker face and waving my credit card in hand for a deposit, he finally caved after some haggling lol. Took almost 1.5 weeks to get the car though. 77 miles on the odometer. Nearly all of it was the drive between dealerships.
Bought the 120k mile / 8 year Honda Care warranty from Hyannis Honda online (as recommended on this forum) for $1,050. My dealer didn't want to match it. There's so many electronics and screens on these new cars that I feel better with the "bumper to bumper" warranty for that many miles.
The destination fee was included in the 22,200 price.Very nice OTD. Did they charge Destination Fee in the 22,200? In VA, they are charging 875 plus 500 for processing.
This is what I was quoted by Umansky Honda of Charlottesville:
MSRP = 24, 990 (inc. 875 destination)
Discount = 1,600
Adjusted price = 23,390
Taxable fees = 59.72
Processing fee = 499
Tax = 993.87
Non tax fees = 65.75
Total (out-the-door) = 25,008.34
** No extra options or anything included. Probably need to buy far from VA to get good OTD. lol
your dealer spunded like a grade A dickhead. you should have bought elsewhereI was pretty much at their mercy. I can only imagine what the two Aegean Blue buyers paid.
One dealer told me straight up, "The Si is a hot commodity. I'm not willing to match that price to lose money." Another dealer stopped returning my calls after I asked them to beat Hendrick's price.
I didn't buy from that dealer. He wouldn't match Hendrick's price so I purchased from them..your dealer spunded like a grade A dickhead. you should have bought elsewhere
This is a good OTD price for VA. I'm in NoVA, and a buddy here got tired of waiting to get a CTR at MSRP, so he went with an Si. The dealers up here wouldn't go below MSRP nor offer a discount. He wound up paying around $26K OTD.Very nice OTD. Did they charge Destination Fee in the 22,200? In VA, they are charging 875 plus 500 for processing.
