Civic si has more potential than type r( aftermarket wise).

No its not, not even close. Ferrari only makes 8000 cars a year- thats the reason why. Who is going to R and D parts for a f12 when only 300 a year are made? Cmon man.
Yeah, and you still have guys like John Carmack who insists on slapping twin turbo's on them. Gee, silly Ferrari, didn't they know they could have been pushing 1000+HP just by slapping turbo's on their cars? About a half a dozen engines later he finally got a build that didn't immediately fail.

Everything I said was true.. but there will always be people who argue for the sake of it as this site shows.

I guess the aftermarket is just all magic and the power is for free, eh? OOooh.. MAGIC!! LOL

EVERYTHING is a trade off... maybe 50 years ago an aftermarket company might have been able to make up for design flaws by the manufacturer, but not today with how competitive the market is. If you change something out and make a gain, you're trading something for it.. simple as that. It might be life expectancy, efficiency, noise, whatever.
