I would call that an honest/popular opinion (especially for this forum)
More like honest and loud opinion. Do you really have an issue with someone putting WHEELS on their car?! Thats a whole new level of hating i didn't know existed. Dont even on this sub forum.

Wheels not really, most will stand the abuse of everyday driving (some spirited or track is a different story). However, cheating out on tires is something I highly discourage and kind of downright stupid in many instances.

I don't know, but do you get the OEM parts they took off the car as well (at delivery?). If not, then those values (used market) should probably be deducted from the total.

Sorry it took so long to post this. Kinda forgot. So I went to the dealership and took pictures of this abomination.
I don't want get into the whole story, but pretty much the salesman tried telling me this was an "automatic Type R. For those who want a Type R but cant drive stick. He tried telling me that it had "Brembo Brakes" and the "Same Engine" with a lil less power. I couldn't believe what that guy was trying to tell me. But here are some good pics for you guys.

The salesman name was Michael.

This isnt ground for a lawsuit? Completely serious question.

They're claiming it's the 2.0T? Ask them to pop the hood. Brembo brakes? Pull up a picture if some real ones. This dealer is the shittiest I've ever heard of.

Only if the dealer was dumb enough to put it in writing

If you do something subtle like rims, sure. But once you get going with everything listed (all the other things that make it look like a type r), yes its dumb on a normal civic.

Unpopular/harsh opinion time:

I think it's silly to put cosmetic performance inspired parts on the non performance version of the Civic(or any car) in a fruitless attempt to make it look like a performance car. That goes for the dealer here and owners.
I get your point, but he OEM's do it all the time. F-Sport, HFP, S-Line, etc.

The cover is less than 30 on Ebay or aliexpress..
I bought it awhile back and it is so cheap that i just use my hammer to break it into half..

Sad. Some consumers uninformed. A white 10 gen Civic like that parked next to me and owner asked if mine was the rare automatic type R like his or more common manual, and if I paid sticker. He was proud and had just bought his car in last 24 hrs for $31k OTD in Cali. Call me a softy. Couldn’t break his heart. Told him congrats on his new car, yes mine was the manual, and I paid MSRP in Feb which I thought at the time was good deal.

I was coming out of my neighborhood in my r and had a 10th gen sedan (not sure if it was an si as it had a bunch of type r aftermarket goodies (including the rear wing) and debadged. I know it wasn't a type r but he/she/it/they wanted it to look like a type r. Perhaps he/she/it/they bought a fake r from the dealership as in the OP.

Not my cup of tea but not my money either.
