I just have no words to explain this.
Why they look exactly the same?!
Not to me.
Every carmaker is moving toward a sporty/aggressive look. This will be the new Rav4...
I guess the Jeep Cherokee look is inspiring every other carmaker.
...and the new RAV4 looks horrific. No style whatsoever.
The RAV4 looks like they mated a ford escape or ecosport with the larger Toyota 4Runner. As is most of toyota's recent designs, they're all over the place and WAY over-styled. People think honda's have too many creases and lines on them, but the new Toyotas look like origami, especially in the front ends.
Every auto manufacturer shares bodies/chassis/drivetrains whenever they decide to. Of course they pay for it, but there are plenty of examples throughout automotive history of basically the same car from 2 different brands.
It can also easily be mistaken for a Subaru.

The Hyundai and Chevy definitely look alike. Much like all the new cars these days, everything is starting to look the same. To be fair though, I dont find Honda's CRV to be particularly good looking at all. None of these crossovers look good at all besides maybe the CX-5 which actually looks okay.
