Cheap, Permanent Touring Rattle Fix - Insulation Foam

I was about to recreate the foam/electrical tape wedge when I found another thread on here using 2 rubber doorstops as the wedges for the 3rd brake light. A trip to Target and $3 later...rattle is gone. What a difference! See picture below from other thread of installed doorstops.

When I was looking at a 2017 Civic, I thought, 'how bad is this really?' I found out very quickly that it's pretty bad. I played a song that had a lot of bass drum and knew I had to do something. I took inv4zn's advice and made his little invention. The only thing I did different was use 80 grit sand paper to make the wedge. It gave a superior results than me attempting to hack it. It worked, it works well, and I'd like to think you for your idea.

I have a 2017 Touring. With the subwoofer at the top setting, and bass set neutral, with the volume around 17, I get the vibration. I was hoping that the 2017 model year would have fixed it. Oh well, off to Home Depot this weekend.

Just wanna add that I tried this out on Monday and the issue was fixed. Happy to play music again and not hear the rattle anymore.

Yes, the deck rattles against the glass.

Alright I've got a SI which has a different deck(no 3rd brake light on deck as it's on the spoiler). Still have a rattle and all it took to take care of it was jam a folded microfiber towel enough to create some upward pressure and to absorb the subwoofers vibration as shown

Why bother carving up foam and wrapping it if this does the same thing? In any case, I need some door stops anyway...

I used the same thing and haven't had any issues.

Interesting, I experienced the rattle a ton on my way to work this morning...will attempt this remedy on the way home from work.
