Hello, I just wanted to share my experience in replacing my spark plugs for the Civic hatchback sport. I am tuned with my own custom tune and running e85. I went to Orileys & autozone to get new spark plugs since I was having issues and when inspected noticed one of the plugs had gone bad causing a stutter in acceleration. They had two options
1. NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plug (The ones that come in the car)

2. Autolite Iridium XP
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...JhE5N8LqrKwK4TplNGBoC2y4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

They where both out of the NGK and said the Autolite would be fine, when installed they are a direct fit but where not capable of handling hard acceleration without almost causing misfire. I changed them out for another set and same issue. Finally I ordered the NGK from amazon and was able to get my car running back like a champ! Maybe it was an issue just happening to me but if you are going to change your plugs on your own I would recommend only using what came with the car sticking with the NGK spark plugs! Thanks.

Never go aftermarket with spark plugs. I have always used OEM plugs (or their manufacturer such as Denso in this case) and I have had the car always running like a champ after i had changed them. The price usually is always the same or cheaper if you shop around (not at the dealer).

Original NGK cost $20 more for a set of 4
What is $20 on a $25K car ?

Keep in mind the proper torque, which you'll find is surprisingly low. I believe these are threaded into an Aluminum head. Natural tendency is to way over-tighten. Use a torque wrench.
