I do NOT see the Playlists or the contents of a Playlis, being sorted in the HU, to anything different to what they are on my Ipod

Honda Civic 10th gen Change order playlist from iPod????? Alphabetical to custom order?? IPOD-Playlists

Honda Civic 10th gen Change order playlist from iPod????? Alphabetical to custom order?? HU-Playlists

Then Selecting Playlist AM Gold

Honda Civic 10th gen Change order playlist from iPod????? Alphabetical to custom order?? IPOD_Seleted-Playlis

Honda Civic 10th gen Change order playlist from iPod????? Alphabetical to custom order?? HU_Seleted-Playlist

NOT in alphabetical order... same order that they are on the IPod.

Maybe there is a setting on your Ipod... I cannot find any setting on the HU that would be re-sorting lists into Alphabetical Order.

My Ipod is Ipod Classic- 6th Gen
Works GREAT ... You may well have a newer model Ipod ??

The point is, the Head Unit does not seem to be the one doing any re-sorting.

Newer, but not better --- The 6th gen Classics had the best DAC of all the Ipods in them, the later Ipods nano were not as good !!!

could be, not an Apple specialist nor fan, but their mp3 players are by far the best out there :)

Anyway, I might have a break through, I noticed upon sychronizing that the order on iTunes was not copied on the iPod.
My other playlists were copied exactly as on iTunes, except for that one specific playlist, somehow, that was copied in reverse order :dunno:
Changing name, sync method, nothing helped.

So I made a new playlist naped 'test', copied my songs to that playlist, synced it and it was synced correctly on the iPod now o_O

Gonna test it tomorrow if it truly shows the right order in the Hondalink system...

The IPOD app on the Honda Unit is very good -- far better than some of the more recent efforts on the Google Play store..

Added to that, the newer players do not work with the older OS of the Classic Players, but the "OLD" Honda Software does.

I have not found any Andoid IPod player app that actually works with the Classic Gen 6 apart from the Honda one .
