Cell Phone Holder Mount

...so I made some minor but great changes... I bought the WizGear magnetic mount and replaced the one that the CLEC one came with with the one from WizGear. It is much larger and much stronger and keeps the phone from vibrating/wiggling considerably less while driving. The ball and sockets are the same size and the supplied nuts are also the same so it was just a quick swap of parts. Using the WizGear nut also allows for a bit more range of motion due to the outer size of the nut being smaller. This is now a really great mount.

Phone holder 3.0 !

Then, I 3D printed a custom phone holder and glue it to the plastic. It works extremely well and I like how I have no marks or holes in my console. And, if I want to take it off it just pops right off! I highly recommend a holder like this.

I got the CLEC magnet mount. Hold your phone like a rock. Looks OEM. No shaking. My only concern if the phone falls off the mount it may scratch the radio screen. My next investment a screen protector for Head unit.

Absolutely love this mount. Looks so clean! Ended up getting a different cradle with wireless charging and routing the wire behind the trim so it looks completely clean.

So did you just use the mount from the CLEC and than just attached the WizGear parts or what parts did you exactly use I want to do this set up as well for my car

Hi...yes, I used the CLEC part that attaches to the area around the hazzard switch and then just replaced the ball and socket part as well as the WizGear magnet.

Works well, though it's definitely not a one-handed operation like a ProClip mount:

The phone is a 7 Plus.

I should have red your comments instead of relying solely on the pictures...saying its not a one hand operation is an understatement

I am very impressed about the OEM like fitment and quality of this cell phone holder. I had the iOttie 2 and 3 before this and they require you to glue a pad to your dash and the mount was really bulky sitting on the dash.. Didn't want to do that on my Si so I wanted a mount that was less intrusive. I found this mount made by Samurai Shades on Amazon for all 2016-2019 Civics. This snaps into place over your hazard button, check out the pics for fitment.

The phone mount arrived and was quickly installed- snaps right into place on the dash vent area. Had a magnet mount in my last car, so to find another one as clean install as this is was awesome. Not a fan of the big CLEC logo but oh well, can always swap that piece out later on if need be

It comes in two pieces. The magnet slides into a slot behind the hazard mount.

Got my mount the other day and its super sturdy. Went over a dozen speed bumps with no movement whatsoever.
