108 trap speed! The Golf R, STI, and Focus RS can't match that!

What's even more amazing is that all the competition are AWD. I've always preferred light & brilliant turn-in of Hondas FWD to heavier AWD. AWD def has some advantages, but with the elimination of torque steer on the CTR, it really is an awesome set up.

Wow looking at the numbers the type R looks good. Surprised that the STI(being such an old engine) can match it in straight line speed where the others begin to fall behind quickly when comparing 0-100 and so on. I wonder if the STI would do better if it had same type of Rubber like the Type R. Either way kudos to the Type R

The CTR has Contisportcontact 6 which are rated as max performance summer tires. The STi has Dunlop Sport Maax RT which are also rated as max performance summer tires.

Going by tirerack's test, the Dunlops braking performance and slalom performance match up well with the extremely good Michelin Pilot Super Sport. But it pulls less g on the skidpad, and gets slower lap time:

I mean people magazine and bench race. There are some cars thats beyond their numbers.

For example, people at Porsche was couldn't figure out why the GTR was so fast around the ring with its power/weight ratio. Its that GTR chassis give so much confidence to the driver that one can drive on the ragged edge on the track.

The Dunlops are good but they don't do the car justice. I have a 2015 wrx and 2018 wrx and on the 2015 I have the pilot super sport and they are night and day compared to the Dunlops. After testing the Type R I wish they made the contisport 6 for my car. The level of grip is another level

Its just not the tires on the type r that is producing that godlike control

No I know that. The Type R is machine. Trust me on my test drive I was amazed by it. I just know that tires can play a big role in control.
