I tried mine yesterday and still does not work, ‘18 SI, I read that some ‘18 Demo had the feature still, does your radio have the Browser and Gallery from factory?

Yes, they are still available, pre-installed. So I guess the revision is different? Why so many? LoL

Ya your revision is different, I will post mine when I leave work today, however all that I have is apk installer calculator and downloads. I did read there it may be possible to put the android browser apk on thumb drive and it may be possible to install it depending if they took it off the whitelist or not! Has anyone tried this?

If you guys have a browser in your apps, you can go straight to the website from your head unit, and have it rooted through there. Contact codage from xda developers website and message him. He'll give you the exact link and passcode to enter in order to have your head unit rooted through the browser. Just link up you hotspot to the head unit. I’m able to play Netflix and you tube while my car is driving. I have a 2017 Civic Si.

So, I've tried the other buttons within this particular menu and tapping each one of them other than the known (1,2,3,4) will take you into a menu. I think that these are safe to say that they're not tappable numbers for finding the "passcord".

However, if you tap on the version button (the same one that you tap to get the "passcord" prompt), it doesn't do anything. Let's call this number 0. step 2 you have to direct message "codeage" on the xda forums at the link below. i think he has a direct email too but i dont know it off hand. he got back to me the next day. when he does respond he will provide you a URL you must visit on your car browser along with a one-time authorization code to enter once you get to the website. keep in mind you must use your hotspot on your smartphone to get on the internet from your car that means you have to turn on and connect via wifi.

once you get through all that you will have hondahack on your 2018 si. he has a free version and a pro version that cost $18 via paypal. you can see the pro features once you install the free version and determine if you are willing to pay for it. you can also install waze and a few other apps directly from the hondahack apps. remember your headunit is android 4.2.2 or something like that so dont go installing the google play store and downloading apps that are for later versions. if you install any app that requires root access you are asking for trouble and may brick your headunit. do this at your own risk, its not my fault if you mess anything up, its yours. a popup will appear asking if you want to be able to go back to stock i would suggest you say yes to that popup when installing.

at this point you can get a usb stick formatted for fat32 (dont use windows to format it use a 3rd party app, it wont work with windows and the car wont see it). download ktuner tunerview lite apk and install that also.

this method worked for me to a tee. sorry but i cant offer any tech support if it doesnt work for you.
