No, the residual amount is set by corporate and in stone. You can negotiate the sales price and bring it closer to your residual. With the CTR, I would assume no discounts and any lease option would be the same across the board.

Thanks... I wonder how much the residual would be.. Trying to figure out the monthly lease before it arrives so I have a rough idea if I want to get into it... I Get a loyalty discount on the interest rate of 1% but wondering how long of a term they would go on the CTR.

The White Type R and NSX picture looks like it was taken in the Lobby of Honda Canada's head office in Ontario.

Any Canadians get a sense of when the Type R might hit our dealerships here?
I can't seem to get any slight indication from my dealer.
Just trying to plan ahead as I want to list my Si for sale but not to early, (don't want to be without a normal daily car for to long)

Thanks,
JD

Optomistic arrival was May/June
Most Likely Arrival was July/Aug
Pessimistic arrival was Nov

I gotta sell my POS daily too.. But the way it's looking, better not sell too early - if dealerships are only getting 1 at first and you're not #1 on the list, you might be without a car if you jump the gun.

My dealership said mid late summer, I didn't believe him when he told me in January,
but he seemed to be bang on.

Big time rumour, but I was told that someone overheard a big wig talking at the Allison plant and they were saying it will be going for 53K OTD.

hmmm i think he might be over by $2k...

Honda Canada has posted it'll be in the low 40's... so that's up to ~$42,999... with taxes and fees etc etc etc it comes out to around $51K... if it's more then that... then i'll have to highly reconsider...

thats may make sense...
43,500 price
1695 freight
500 pdf or admin fees or whatever they're calling it
then all the enviro fees, plus tax for me is 15%
That is just about bang on 53000 or very close.
Sounds bad when you add everything up and ad tax.

I had my first oil change yesterday at the dealer. I am friends with a couple ppl at the dealer. The manager and one of the sales guys said that in the Waterloo Honda dealer they only have a list of 4 people interested but no deposits yet. One guy told me that they might get 4 or 5 and that they will try to hold on to one for a long time so they can have it in the show room.

The guy told me about the type r and si before anyone and I believe they should be kinda accurate. He told me that they haven't had the training or proper info they need to sell the cars.

EDIT: Rumor is that the SI will launch at the same time and they will get both around June/July (according to the dealer)
