We have seen this in a bunch of different small displacement turbocharged vehicles. Focus and Fiesta ST, WRX, Ecoboost Mustang, Mazdaspeed 3, MK7 GTI, and I havent seen one for our car yet.

Is there a limitation with our motor that doesn't make this possible, or has no one attempted to do it yet?

An option in the V1/V2 and Flashpro to add mild crackles on deceleration for catless vehicles would be great. I would even pay to have this as an option.

My car already does this with an rv6 catless as long as rev hang is off on ktuner. When I shift at higher rpms it pops a little bit and sometimes when I do an aggressive downshift. Also when I'm crusing in 1st in a parking lot and let go of the throttle, it makes a bunch of fart noises :). It's awesome.

Im with this, I have very mild baby crackles but a pops and crackle tune or option would be the way to go^

My srt4 was the crackle king....
With the Diablo sport crackle tune it sounded like it had 600 hp before the engine build. But that was a 2.4 liter

My car already does this with just a PRL Catless DP and a Greddy Supreme SP exhaust, even before I got my custom vittune

I am running PRL's catless downpipe and I get zero pops and crackles above 2000 rpm. If I barely rev it to like 1500-1900 in neutral I get the quietest pops ever.

Something mild like Stratified's Ford pops and crackle map would be great no?

With my Thermal R&D exhaust I get this a lot more with the rev hang off option on all my ktuner base tunes.

From what I have seen, the Si's seem to give off more of a crackles sound when off the throttle than something like a base 1.5T motor. Regardless if you have an exhaust system or not, I think it would be awesome to add more than just what an exhaust has or more that a catless downpipe adds in terms of pops and crackles.

Hell, even a 1L, a ONE LITER Ecoboost has the ability to do this.

Over here modifying your exhaust is illegal and cops can get on your back pretty easily, I wonder if a map on the stock exhaust would still work...

The catalytic converter gets in the way. You'll have to run an illegal "race pipe" in order to get that kind of sound.

I thought it was accomplished just from dumping a pile of fuel in the engine with super retarded timing so you're lighting the fuel so late, the piston is pushing just lit fuel out... so it burns in the exhaust when you come off throttle? Kind of sounds like anti-lag only off throttle. Sounds easy enough to replicate using anti-lag as a starting point.

I'd be surprised if no one hasn't done so. Might be hell on the cats/turbo though.
