I really hope I’m not the only one, but I’ve been hearing this sound lately on my 2017 Civic LX. It has 24k miles. Oil changes always on time, and just yesterday had the oil change done, along with replacing the cabin filter and air filters at Honda.

I’ve recorded it a few times so I’m hoping the video will play fine.

I really hope the link works.
Mind you, the A/C is not turned on. And this was first thing in the morning, pretty cold outside. But this has also happened as soon as I’m off work, around 2:30 with the weather being decently warm.

It causes NO issues with the performance of the car, but the sound definitely doesn’t sound normal. And also annoying.

Take out the cabin air filter and see if the noise is coming from the fan. Maybe an animal left some nuts in there.

Have you checked under the hood to pinpoint the location?

Does the pitch change with the RPM?

Sounds like the fan blades are coming in contact with something.

Sometimes leaves/debris on the filter will fall into the fan when the filter is removed. The fan is easy to drop. It's three screws and one wire harness if you look up from under the passenger wheel well.
