My new, just released, Bronze Konig Ampliform flow formed 18x9.5 +35 wheels came in Monday. Picked up a fresh set of 245/40zr18 Maxxis Victra VR1 tires from Maxxis USA yesterday and mounted the wheels. They look great, and wheels alone weigh just over 19lbs. They just barely clear the stock brembo calipers and I will be using 2mm or 3mm spacer to clear the AP Racing calipers when they arrive next week. Will be at Road Atlanta for a couple of sessions this afternoon. The front fits fine with the camber, and 265/35 should be good as well when it gets here. 245 may rub in the rear.

Rats! I know when I spoke to them on the phone they said they would not clear the calipers. I was sure they would! But I listened to them... Sigh! Maybe for my winter rims or next season because I LOVE the looks of these rims. Thank you so much for being our test subject!

No idea their name. It was around January. They were the number one rims I was hoping to pick up for this car. Either way now I know they will work I'll definitely pick them up for the winter rims and tires.

I would be interested in hearing your opinions of how the +35 affects the car. I am deciding between 19” Konigs +35 or OZ +47 both under 22lbs with 245/35/19 tires.

I was previously on 18x9 +39 and had no negative feelings toward them. I just wanted a lighter wheel that would fit 265 front better and clear the new brakes. My car is primarily used for track.

I plan on tracking my car occasionally, but mostly street use.
The car completely stock, handled the Tail of the Dragon meet amazingly. I don’t want to install a set of wheels that would hinder its cornering performance (torque steer???).

Honestly the main thing that aids to limit torque steer on the CTR is the suspension design. Having 2 lower ball joints, and some other design elements allows the kingpin angle to be nearly vertical. getting the wheel offset a little dirther off centerline will effect it some, but not drastically and may not even be noticable under most circumstances

So I was looking into purchasing a set of these and throwing them on for winter although I'm in Upstate NY and not sure how a 9.5" wheel would be. I'm running stock height and dont plan on lowering the car. Any thoughts/advice, tire size recommendations? My other option is 18x8.5 size which seems to be a more common winter setup... possibly TRmotorsports with a +30 offset

When you say they barely clear the stock brakes, what would you say is barely?
