My SI now had 22K KM and I feel vibrations during brakes. My oil life is 30% left so I will bring in the car. I will ask them to check the brake.

I think 22K miles (regular driving) is too soon to replace the brakes, right?

With my previous car (MB), they recommended to replace the rotors together with the pads every time. How about Honda? Do you guys prefer aftermarket or Honda rotors/pads?

it depends on how you drive and how you brake. you can have your rotors resurfaced. if you are feeling vibrations most likely your rotors are warped

I just had my rear rotors replaced and front rotors resurfaced under warranty. At 16k they looked like they had 200k on them. They'll do nothing if it's just rust, but if there's noise/pulsing/vibration, they should take care of you. Pads were not replaced and seem to be wearing ok since the rotors were serviced. I'm also in Ontario, curious to see how they fare after winter #2.

If it's what I had, the vibrations are from rust, not warpage. Photo @ 16,000km after one winter.

Vibrations are at pedal.
Not sure warranty would cover this. My SI is 2018 and has 34k KM.
I will check for rust tomorrow.

I am not an aggressive driver so if I have to replace the rotors/pads at 34K KM, I am not impressed at all.

This is what my rear brakes look like after 3 winters and 59 000 Km. The grooves started to get noticeable at around 50K, a pulsing feel under light braking started at around 55K. No noise and no vibration during normal driving though.
This is mostly highway driving.
Before this 2016 Civic, I had a 2013 and the same thing happened, but not as bad as this. The rear brakes and rear rotors on the 2013 were swapped at 72 000 Km.

I have this same vibration in the pedal under light braking at high speeds. It doesn't seem to be getting worse. It may be normal?

Wow! All that corrosion. I’m currently looking at used cars for my daughter and have come a across a few from the north. They go for cheaper down here than one that hasn’t been up there. I always walk away. Amazing what all that salt and whatever else does to a car.

Just drove my SI.
There was no vibrations at low speed braking,
I would feel the vibrations when braking at speed over 50 KMH.

Yeah that’s what ive experienced too. Lightly pressing the brake pedal at like 4th/5th gear speeds.

My maintenance minder came up to do brake fluid at like 25k miles. I just bled all 4 lines today. I drove it at bit and havent noticed any vibrations yet. 25k miles seems kinda early to do it though. The old fluid did not look dirty at all, still looked brand new. Maybe it helped fix the issue though, idk. Ill let you know.

If it's at pedal it's your rear rotors. Check for rust. If it's not rusted then rotors are warped

If rust, why no vibrations at low speed?

I had the same problem. My next service showing was the infamous Canadian "Brake Service" (Service 9). After doing this no more vibrations and noises.
