When I start up my car for the first time in the day I warm it up about a minute before driving off. ( I live in California, so it does t get too cold) After that I switch into gears and go into R. As I release the brakes it makes a loud sound. Then I switch back to D and release brakes again and makes a loud noise again. Is this normal? I only experience this when it the first time driving in the day .

If you leave your car outside especially overnight, its completely normal for a layer of rust to form over the rotors. As you apply the brakes you hear the rough rusted surface being grinded down. This should only last about the first 20 seconds or so of using the brakes.

Yeah it's probably what @Prometheon said. I get this especially after a rain and the car sits overnight. I get that loud scraping sound backing out but after that it's all smooth sailing.
