Just bought a 19 Civic Sport Coupe Red! My only question! Should I get bodyside molding or not? I have it on my 19 CRV and love it. Anyone with nice photos of a current gen civic coupe with bodyside molding so I can see? Thanks.

That’s a personal preference for body side molding. Yes it dose protect the car from the soccer mom SUVs and crap boxes in parking lots my personal opinion it breaks up the body line i would leave it just way it is
Btw the way congrats and it looks great and every time I see a red coupe I say to myself I should of gotten red

I Debated this too. But don’t think so...just park far as hell away from anyone. I have the door edge guard though, it was already on the car when I brought it new.

That truly is a personal preference, but if you're worried about door dings then go for it. I myself am not a fan of body side molding. I have the 2019 Sport Sedan in Rallye Red and I think it looks sexy as hell the way it is that molding looks like body scars if you ask me.

Many door molding are not always at right place for dings, so they don't do the job.
    Ot they are too thin.

    Too low IMO

I got the door edge film with my car....thought abotu the guards..might be better due to the heavy door but I don't want road salt getting stuck in there.

Congrats on the purchase! I like the black rims. Did they come with the car standard? I remember my Si Sedan (2019) had black rims but with silver on the outer layer. I wouldn't put anything on the side. Looks great as is.

ah. the sport model is the toned down 1.5T tune right? You are at like 180hp?

I feel like it while driving, but it's the 2.0 and the specific reason I took it. I live in a winter climate and don't need to be doing 2 oil changes per winter to reduce the oil dilution.

I believe that the only one of the Sport Civics that comes with the 1.5T engine, is the Hatchback ... Sedan and Coupe come with N/A 2.0 engine.

Someone ... If I am incorrect, please let me know ... I don't want to mislead anyone.

Nice! As for the molding, I wouldn’t get it because it breaks up the clean side of the car.
