Anyone know how to make the accent light that shines over the shift knob brighter? Or how to do a color change on it ?

It won't be easy. You'd need to remove the circuit board and solder a brighter and/or different color LED onto the board. You'd also need to know the specifics of the circuit to know how much juice it can put out to the LED, it might not work at all. It would be easier to drill a new hole and retrofit a new LED in place on it's own circuit depending on how much room there is in that housing. I changed it to blue on my 8th gen using the retrofit method, and I'm pretty sure this housing is the same, or darn close.

you get red and blue options to swap the whole module. otherwise its a pain in the ass to do like Swank said. ive taken that thing apart to look and the little tabs are easy to break.
