I have a 2017 Civic. Yesterday I unlocked the car with the button on the key, got in and saw the red alarm light still blinking. I thought it was odd but didn't think much about it. I then put the key in the ignition and started the car. The engine started, the radio came on, I put the car in reverse (the back up camera was on) but my dashboard lights were not on. No speedometer, no gas gauge, no engine temp gauge, etc but the alarm light kept blinking. I cut the engine and tried again. Same thing. I was able to roll down the windows. Any thoughts?
In the manual it says that the red blinking light means the car doesn't recognize the key and I should reset the key. I can't find anything that explains how to do that. Would that also be a problem?
